We Measured the Quality of Internal Environments in Households. The Results Are Alarming Výsledky jsou alarmující

Air in an interior can paradoxically be more harmful in a well-insulated apartment without a high-quality HVAC system than in an old building where there are draughts because of poor sealing. We therefore selected multiple points differing not only by location, but also by insulation and ventilation technique, for measurements of the quality of internal environments.

Measurements of the concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2) and volatile organic compounds (VOC), as well as relative humidity and temperature values were set for comparisons of the air quality in apartments in old buildings, a prefab block, a new building and energy-efficient projects with an automatic system for managed ventilation with heat recuperation.
